R A C I N E S
Plant yourself in the universe of artist Zoé Boivin.
The art exhibition will be held from May 11th to June 11th, and will showcase Zoé Boivin’s newest creations, a series of 10 abstract paintings in the form of visual testimony that speaks to the tension that exists between force and fragility.
In this collection of work, Zoé explores the idea of a new earth by cultivating the landscape of transformation. The sentiment that bursts forth from her work is one growth, of planting oneself again into one’s flourishing and resilient nature.
Life, death, courage, and rebirth — these are the recurrent themes Zoé evokes that produce a quiver of the heart that profoundly touches our deepest humanity.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Zoé Boivin (b. 1992) does more than make art. She paints emotions. A self-taught abstract expressionist, this Montreal-based artist dedicates herself to the highest of arts: making the world more beautiful, one emotion at a time. She often incorporates different mediums and colors to capture the musings of her sub-conscious and translate them into paintings. To stand in front of one of Boivin’s pieces is to have a profound and intimate encounter with oneself through art. The content of one’s heart spills out in front of the eyes. Boivin graduated in Graphic Design and Communication before pursuing a career in the Arts. Her rapid rise in recognition has allowed her to be exhibited across many spaces. She currently lives and works in Montreal’s colorful Plateau neighbourhood.
